Instructions for authors
- The author is obliged to prepare an article provided with title, short abstract (about 1000 characters) and keywords;
- It is necessary to present all authors who contributed to the article, including academic title, name and affiliation. Furthermore it is useful to indicate correspondence author, who is responsible for contact with Editorial Board;
- Estimated article volume: 10-15 pages (including figures)
- Font: Times New Roman (12),
- Standard margins (25 mm),
- Line space (leading): 1,5,
- Extra line of space between paragraphs (no indents),
- Justification: left,
- Section titles: bold, left-justified,
- Subsection titles: bold italic, left justified;
- Figures included in the text, without compression. It is recommended to provide separate files in vector formats (.cdr, .ai, .pdf especially diagrams) or high quality raster files (resolution: 300 dpi)
- Figures should be indicated with following numbers, description and source (if need be: number of reference in bibliography) under the figure: Fig. 1. Description [1]
- Tables included in the text
- Tables should be indicated with following numbers, description and source (if need be: number of reference in bibliography) above the table: Table 1. Description [2]
- At the end of the article should be listed all references, in order of appearance in the text, according to examples below:
- Book: Authors 1 surname + name initial, Authors 2 surname + name initial 2 etc.: Book title. Publishing House, year of publication,
- Book chapter: Authors 1 surname + name initial, authors 2 surname + name initial 2 etc.: Chapter title, [in] Editors surname + name initial: Book title. Publishing House, year of publication, pages x-y
- Journal article: Authors 1 surname + name initial, Authors 2 surname + name initial 2 etc.: Article title. Journal title, year of publication, number of issue, pages x-y
- Online journal article: Authors 1 surname + name initial, Authors 2 surname + name initial 2 etc.: Article title. Journal title [online], date of access, website address; Online reference designated with DOI should be indicated in reference list
- Standard: Standard number: year Standard title
- The article should be delivered to Bulletin of the Institute of Welding Editorial board via email: biuletyn@is.gliwice.pl.
- Along with the article it is required to deliver signed article submission form (via email or fax: +48 32 231 46 52). The documend can be downloaded here
